Let's help the people around us!
Your kindness will provide financial assistance to those most in need,
to the families that were affected by the recent flood in Malaysia.
Since major flood hits Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Melaka and Johor on the 19/12/2021, FAF has been working around the clock with our partners and volunteers to provide immediate food aid to the affected families. These include:
1. Cooked meals for those who do not have cooking facilities;
2. Dry food supplies to shared kitchen as the Community/Villages gather local cooks to support the families who are cleaning houses;
3. Food essential bags for EACH family, including rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, oats, chocolate malt, flour, biscuits.
During the 20-day flood relief (19/12/2021 – 07/01/2022), FAF has reached out to more than 5,800 families and the total value of the food supplies was equivalent to 200,797 meals or RM1,003,985.
Moving ahead, we'll identify families who have lost everything and continue to provide them with monthly food help for at least the next 3 to 6 months. This is because many of them are still struggling and have limited resources to repair their houses and reestablish their livelihoods; we hope that the food supplies will help to alleviate some of their suffering. We'll also be preparing nutritious meals and obtaining nutritional goods such as milk powder, oats, and cereals for flood victims' youngsters and elders.
Besides, our team continues to support the ordinary (non-flood affected) marginalised communities including PPR homes (300 to 500 families per PPR, FAF supports 41 PPR within Klang Valley), as well as 75+ welfare homes (orphanage, old folks’ home, OKU homes) and refugee communities on a regular basis (i.e., daily and weekly) through our food rescue mission, in which the surplus food are rescued from Pasar Borong, supermarkets and retailers, and food manufacturers. Our ongoing 'Cooking-for-a-Cause' and 'Gerak Rezeki' programs also enable us to provide more nutritious and healthy meals to the poor.
Moving forward, FAF is also developing more educational and empowerment programs for the marginalized communities. Connect us at info@foodaidfoundation.org if you wish to explore further on how FAF could co-create values with your organization’s CSR or ESG initiatives in year 2022 and beyond.On behalf of the beneficiaries, THANK YOU in advance for your support and contribution.

About Food Aid Foundation
Food Aid Foundation (FAF) is the first non-profit organization in Malaysia that rescues perishable and non-perishable surplus food. Established in 2013, our mission is to reduce food wastage and alleviate hunger and malnourishment in Malaysia.
FAF collects and distributes the excess or surplus food from wholesale and supermarkets daily and distribute to underprivileged beneficiaries consisting of welfare and charitable homes, shelters, poor families, destitute, other NGOs, refugee communities and soup kitchens.
While making efforts in preventing edible food goes to waste [official statistics published by SWCorp Malaysia that edible food being sent to landfill stands at 3,000 tones daily], FAF also addresses the issues of malnourishment and lack of nutritious food among the poor, especially children and elderly from the B40 communities. To do these, FAF partners with community organizations including NGOs and B40 residential areas through the following initiatives:

I have attended a series of virtual training courses by Michael Teoh during the MCO period. Before the courses, I was very skeptical how engage and effective the courses would be as they will be delivered via a video conferencing tool. Beyond all my expectations, not only the course content was very relevant, structured and well presented but how Michael kept the course attendees engaged was superb. With his vast industrial experience and charismatic communication, I would definitely recommend him and his organisation if you are looking for training courses.
During the Covid Pandemic, Michael ran a training program for our regional trainers and market managers. He took the time and effort to tailor-make the course to our needs, including 1-on-1’s. He was engaging, the course structure covered all the key areas of virtual communication and engagement, with many golden nuggets dispersed throughout. We could see immediately after, an up-skilling and improvement in all the participants. It certainly benefited us, and I am convinced Michael and his team would provide value to any individual and organisation.

I first engaged Michael and Thriving Talents in designing and delivering a series of workshops on Effective & Persuasive Communication skills for different levels of employees and departments during my time in CSR. Their methods were creative and the participants enjoyed the simulations, games and more so, the energy and passion that Michael and his team showed, during the sessions.
I first met Michael as the moderator for one of our programmes and I was impressed with Michael’s ability to be able to bring energy to the crowd. We then shared the stage together to speak to over 250 Malaysian young leaders on the youths' participation in nation-building, in which Michael was again, able to inspire the audiences to really grasp the discussion, despite it being done 100% virtually.

Being in Michael’s training “Managing Digital Workforce” was an excellent experience. It was truly an engaging & insightful session. His positive energy was consistent through our session. The cases & quick quizzes he gave, kept us all on our toes. Key takeaways were the “diamond” quotes, celebrating the wins of others & one self & the 3S (State, Story, Strategy) – that will really benefit all participants. I strongly recommend Thriving Talents & Michael! – “Motion creates Emotion”.
I was one of the attendees of Michael’s presentation skills workshop. My first impression of him during the training that he is an energetic and passionate person, but along the way, I noticed that he is also very knowledgeable, I have learned and inspired a lot from him. The entire sessions were fun and interesting, unlike any other trainer, Michael has made the training process become more productive and effective.

Michael and Thriving Talents team is by far one of the most dedicated, authentic and progressive team I have encountered so far. We have recently engaged the team into a series of works in the area of D&I, and guess what? His team literally put my senior team in awe for their enthusiasm, preparedness and dedication! One of the talk he has conducted on multigeneration culture was obviously impacting our audiences in the greatest way I could ever imagine! Well done, mate!
It was the Best decision to engage Michael and Thriving Talents team for my team to start the year. An inspiring individual who sees the best in people and situations around him. Whilst being very driven, he also reminds one to be grateful in life. In this robust world, his session gives/reminds us to have a good balance in life to be a Growth Minded Leader. Blessed to know Michael and Thank You Thriving Talents for the great session!
